The Meals on Wheels program serves the City of Spokane and is dedicated to improving the nutritional health of the areas elderly and disabled homebound population.  In 2010 Meals on Wheels served 15,000 meals in the senior center and delivered 78,000 meals to home-bound seniors.  Come see how all these lunches are prepared, picked up, and served.

The Japanese Cultural Center serves as a program source, museum, and resource center with the express purpose of reaching regional and international audiences, young and old, with information on Japanese culture to promote global friendship and peace. Come explore the Center's museum of Japanese artifacts, both historical and current, and play with their Japanese toys.  Learn origami and try on traditional Japanese clothing.

Join us for an afternoon to a “romantic” evening snowshoe hike to the Bald Knob Picnic Shelter and/or the CCC Cabin on Mount Spokane. If skies permit we’ll be treated to “romantic” views looking out over the lights of Spokane and vicinity. We’ll then enjoy hot cocoa and cider, and a “romantic sack dinner” at the shelter before returning by moonlight and headlamps to the parking area.
