A high seas adventure awaits you at this unique 3 part activity! First, author and illustrator Christina Lewis, decked out in her best pirate gear, will give a dramatic reading of the first chapter of her book The Cheese Pirates: Cheddar Island. Next Christina will explain how her childhood life as a homeschool kid lead her to become a professional author, editor, ghostwriter, and story consultant. Bring your aspiring writers and illustrators to hear of Christina's exciting journey. When she isn't writing or correcting the world's grammar errors, she designs award-winning jewelry, books concerts for One Street Over, and trains horses and cats. In an effort to wring the remaining spare time out of her schedule, she also creates Lightning Art. You'll end this PiRat experience with a cheese and root beer party!
