Honor Point Military and Aerospace Museum
Felts Field, 6105 E. Rutter Ave, Spokane
Honor Point Military and Aerospace Museum located at Felts Field in Spokane is a start-up, non-profit museum dedicated to educating children and adults about our rich heritage and also opening up the wonderful world of aerospace to all. We have formed a rich partnership with the Museum of Flight in Seattle. The Museum of Flight, located at Boeing Field and partially supported by Alaska Airlines, is considered to have one of the most comprehensive aerospace education programs for kids in the world. We are pleased to offer a number of their programs the week of October 3-7 at our Felts Field facility.
This field trip will include the Museum of Flight’s Flying Gizmo program which is designed to help students discover the science and history of flight through the use of flying toys and models. The toy collection includes a flapping winged bird, kites, parachutes, gliders, stomp rockets and many others. Additionally, there will be three activity stations focusing on robotics, a wind table, and an introduction to flight session where students explore a real airplane and are taught the fundamentals of flight by one of our volunteer pilots.
