Location: The St. George's School Story Trail is located on the property of St. George's School, 2929 West Waikiki Road, Spokane. Map/Directions/Parking
This is the first ever reading nature trail in Spokane, built and maintained by students! FREE to the public and sponsored by Saint George's School. Its called a Story Trail because a children's picture book has been cut up and spread out on stands on the trail. Every few yards you read another page. Its a new book every month. Read about it in the Spokesman Review here. We will meet at the trail head, next to the sign that says, "Saint George's School Story Trail." We will hike the steep but short ¼ mile Story Trail and read the pages of the story along the way.
After the Story Trail, your family can continue hiking through the hills and forests behind St. George's School on Riverside State Park trails. Saint George's School is adjacent to Riverside State Park land. There are several trails so simply turn around whenever you need to.
Ages: All who can climb a trail, some parts are steep. This trail is not designed for strollers or wheelchairs.
Tour limits: none
Cost: Free if you show up. There is a $10 fee per family that will be refunded after the trip as long as you show up.
